Job Title: Operations Supervisor/Manager
Responsibilities: Our client has assigned us to initiate a recruiting program to source and qualify a senior operations supervisor who will be able to develop his/her skills set to take over as the Operations Manager in the company's new succession plan. The candidate hired will be the individual who exhibits the potential and current background track record to easily grow into this senior management position and eventually report directly to the the Plant General Manager.

Reporting to the current Operations Manager, the new supervisor will be responsible for leading the team of 30-40 staff in the LEAN manufacturing processes for a metal fabrication environment producing both consumer and industrial products. Duties will includes supervising and monitoring all production activities, scheduling all lines for daily, weekly targets including staff direction and motivation, maintenance of quality standards while pursuing JIT delivery principles for customer satisfaction.

In addition ,cross-train employees for value added expertise , and provide assistance in driving LEAN,5S Six Sigma and similar technologies through the department

to maintain continuous and parallel plant improvement approach to all areas and disciplines. Develop and provide continuous open communications between staff and management to ensure all members are functioning as a team to achieve company objectives.
Requirements: REQUIRE :

Diploma or degree, a proven track record of success in related manufacturing environment,(minimum of 3 years supervision), analytical and strong communicator, able to make decisions and be a solution provider ,understand your team and get them on board ,some experience in LEAN, 5S or similar manufacturing/ continuous improvement methodologies required.

Ideal candidate would have some metal fabrication experience, but manufacturing process knowledge, modern supervisory/ management methods and attitude, plus the ability to rise in the senior management group in the near future is a must..
